Keynote Speaker Professor Martin Weller

Martin Weller is Professor of Educational Technology at the Open University. He chaired the OU’s first major elearning course in 1999, with 15,000 students. He has been director on the Ou’s VLE and SocialLearn projects. He is currently leading a Hewlett funded project creating a research hub for OERs. His research interests are in open education, digital scholarship and the impact of new technologies. The Digital Scholar was published by Bloomsbury in 2011 and addresses many of these issues and is available under a Creative Commons license online. He blogs at edtechie.net
